    The branch itself needs some renovation however the staff are generally helpful and I've had no issues banking with Halifax.

    Left without a debit card for 2 weeks. Halifax assured me my replacement card was ordered and on its way. After waiting 5 days after it was supposed to have been delivered (allowing for possible post problems) I called Halifax Customer 'Service' to enquire, and was told that actually, they hadn't ordered one at all. It has been HUGELY inconvenient and stressful, with serious consequences for first line utility and communication payements. Not impressed, and warning friends, family and colleagues. AVOID.
