    I had a pretty poor experience dealing with Floor Coverings from start to finish. Upon visiting their showroom in Dry Drayton, I was ignored for about 10 minutes while two members of staff finished off a private conversation between themselves. Eventually salesman Taro (think Del Boy with an Australian accent) got around to serving me and steered me very quickly towards a very expensive product despite not even asking me about my budget. I knew exactly what I wanted however and placed an order for some more modestly priced laminate Quickstep laminate. I was assured that the fitting date would be within 2-3 weeks from the time of order, but in the end I had to wait a whole 7 weeks which was pretty shocking. On the fitting date they sent over a Polish guy to do the job and he didn't really seem to know what he was doing. The end result was pretty poor with the flooring fitted at a bit of an angle and with strange 5cm offcuts at the edges of the wall where a larger section of flooring could have been fitted to make it look nicer. He also left our rooms with a thick layer of dust all over them. No time for even a quick sweep, he was off to the next job! We had some issues with a warped part of the floor and when I contacted Taro for the fitter to come out and resolve the issue he was really defensive and blamed me for having an uneven floor. Despite the fact they'd been over to look at it before preparing the final quote. I gave up with this sham of a company in the end and found a local independent fitter to put things right which only took a matter of hours. I wouldn't deal with these cowboys again after this experience. A complete shambles!
