    I prefer to use local firms where possible. These are one of the very few independents in the Cambridge area. But they are not quite professional enough for me to take the risk: I booked online. My browser gave me a warning that their website is unsecured and the personal information I give could be comprised. The bigger companies use better security, not perfect but just much better. They need to fix their website for modern security, especially when the customer is giving sensitive personal info online. There were other problems with my booking so in the end I went with another firm. Their rental prices are no better or worse that the big rental companies, except for their additional driver charge, which is much lower than others.

    Rent direct car rentals provides a customer friendly service. The 7 seater car we hired was very good and reliable. We faced no problems during our 3 day vacation to Peak District. We will use Rent Direct again!
